A French anthropologist observes St Catherine’s Lighthouse and its keeper as the passage of time slowly erodes the purpose of both their roles.

Le Phare explores the way language, perspective, and cultural context shape how we perceive the world around us. Through a playful yet poetic lens, the film examines an ordinary British lighthouse as if it were an unfamiliar cultural artefact, inviting audiences to reconsider the beauty and meaning found in objects and traditions that are gradually becoming obsolete.
